Cindy L. WixomCynthia L. Wixom, 64, of Salem passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Cindy was born on November 15, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Robert & Marilyn (Ross) Harbin. She was united in marriage to Bill Wixom, Jr., on July 5, 1974, at Kahoka, Missouri. Cindy was a loving, caring person who was there for everyone. Cindy worked for Lomont Molding in Mt. Pleasant for 27 years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family, gardening, riding the motorcycle with her husband and was a wonderful cook. Cindy was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mt. Pleasant and the Auxiliary 39-5 CVMA. She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 47 years, her children, Austin Wixom and his companion Cindy French, of Hillsboro, Robert Wixom and his companion Missie, of Salem, and Stacie Wixom of Sigourney, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, her brother, Joe (Kelly) Harbin of Lockridge. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Toni Johnson, a nephew, Richard Harbin and her mother-in-law. A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Following the service at the funeral home friends may gather at the Moose Lodge for a time of fellowship with the family. A memorial has been established in her memory. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home. |
